The Mobile Photo Festival is a competition and exhibition aimed at fostering image production through mobile platforms (MobgraFias), with the purpose of creating a dialogue about this new way of communication through photography, highlighting the talent of each individual participating in the exhibition/projection at the MIS (Museum of Image and Sound - an institution of the Department of Culture, Economy, and Creative Industries of the State Government of São Paulo).

THE SUBMITTED PHOTOGRAPHS MUST BE CAPTURED AND EDITED USING MOBILE PLATFORMS – MOBILE PHONES AND TABLETS.

AS OBSERVED ABOVE,
In addition to the specific hashtags for each category mentioned above, ALL IMAGES MUST ALSO INCLUDE THE HASHTAG #mobgraphia in their posts.

 

The images must be MANDATORILY CAPTURED, EDITED, AND POSTED using smartphones and/or tablets, and they cannot have been finalists/selected in other Awards/Festivals/Competitions, either in Brazil or abroad.

 

Artificial Intelligence category:

The image must have been GENERATED through prompts/texts, on any AI platform, following the platform's rules and guidelines.
ONLY IMAGES GENERATED THROUGH PROMPTS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

ATTENTION:

• ONLY 3 (THREE) PHOTOS PER PERSON PER CATEGORY WILL BE ACCEPTED.

IF A PARTICIPANT POSTS MORE THAN 3 (THREE) PHOTOS IN ONE OF THE CATEGORIES, THEY WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DISQUALIFIED.

The participant must post or repost their photos between 21/02/2025 and 30/03/2025, using the specific hashtag for each category, along with the hashtag #mobgraphia, in the CAPTION of the photo and NOT in the comments.

Each participant may post ONLY 3 PHOTOS PER CATEGORY.

REGISTRATION AND PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS:

Posts must be made between February 21st and March 30th, 2025. Posts outside this period will not be accepted (from 00:00 on February 21st, 2025 to 22:00 on March 30th, 2025).

 

IMPORTANT: To be valid, Instagram accounts must NOT be set to private. Please check your Instagram privacy settings.

Carousel posts will not be allowed.

Images must not contain watermarks or signatures.
All image rights must belong to the participant.
By participating in this contest, the photographer/author authorizes Mobgraphia to use the submitted/posting image, as long as it is credited with the appropriate author’s credit.

 

Mobgraphia Cultura Visual may use the image in publications and/or promotional materials of any nature, with the understanding that any image usage permissions are the sole responsibility of the participating photographer/author.

 

For the selection of finalists and winners, Mobgraphia will appoint a Selection Committee, consisting of jurors invited by the Festival, with experience in the areas of photographic production, curation, reflection, or teaching of photography, video, and cinema, with national and international activity in these and/or related fields.

The decisions of the Selection Committee are sovereign and final.

​

The result of the initial selection/shortlist will be announced through Mobgraphia's channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and website – www.mobgraphia.com.br) after April 15, 2025. Stay tuned to Mobgraphia's social media and website.

 

The photographer/author whose image is selected will be notified through Mobgraphia's channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, live or website).

It is not necessary to submit the original file. If the organizing committee requests the original image file of the selected work, the author will have 24 hours to submit it. If the photographer fails to meet the deadline, they will be disqualified.

The selected images will be printed/finalized/produced by Mobgraphia and later exhibited in an exclusive space during the Festival at the MIS (Museum of Image and Sound of São Paulo). This exhibition may also be presented on other dates, locations, and cities in Brazil and/or abroad.

OPEN CATEGORIES RESULTS: Mobgraphia will announce the shortlist with 10 selected works and the names of the 5 finalists through Mobgraphia's channels.

​

Only the winners of each category will be presented during the awards night (on May 9, 2025, at 7:00 PM) at the MIS (Museum of Image and Sound of São Paulo).

 

DISCLOSURE:

The exhibition will be part of the official program of the MOBILE PHOTO FESTIVAL 2025. The selected images may be used in the festival's disclosure and communication strategies (website, Mobgraphia and partner social media, catalog, invitations, press releases, social media, and other promotional materials), with no cost to the author.

EXHIBITION
The exhibition of open categories will feature the 5 finalists and the winner of each category.

GENERAL PROVISIONS:

The authorship of the photos/videos is the exclusive responsibility of the selected photographer/author, who exempts the Festival organization from any complaints or copyright actions by third parties.

It is the sole responsibility of the entrant (photographer/author) to ensure that all matters concerning the image rights of the people portrayed are in order.
By registering for the selection process, the participant agrees to all the terms and conditions outlined in this Regulation.

The images must comply with all requirements of this Regulation, under penalty of disqualification.
Cases not addressed in this Regulation will be resolved by the Selection Committee in conjunction with the direction of Mobgraphia Cultura Visual.

The selected printed photos and digital files become part of the collection (physical and digital) of Mobgraphia Cultura Visual.

The Mobile Photo Festival 2025 will not accept images that do not comply with the rules of the MIS (Museum of Image and Sound of São Paulo) statute.

ABOUT THE OBJECT:

The purpose of this notice is to select photographs exclusively taken with smartphones and tablets that will participate in an exhibition with the theme: “SUSTAINABILITY” – the future in countdown...

 

ABOUT THE PARTICIPANTS:

Each participant may only submit 1 (one) photographic essay.
The essay must consist of a minimum of 8 (eight) and a maximum of 10 (ten) photos that build a visual narrative about the proposed theme “SUSTAINABILITY” – the future in countdown...

 

ABOUT THE ENTRIES AND PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS:

The registration of members of the Selection Committee, as well as the organizers of this exhibition and minors, is prohibited, except with the authorization of their legal guardians.

Registrations must be made between February 20 and March 30, 2025 (from 00:00 on February 21, 2025, to 22:00 on March 30, 2025).

ABOUT THE JURY

For the selection of participants, Mobgraphia will appoint 1 (one) member invited by the Festival to compose the Selection Committee and judge the works submitted in this specific category. The member must have experience in the fields of photographic production, curation, reflection, or teaching of photography.  

The decisions of the Selection Committee are final and irrevocable.

 

ABOUT THE SELECTION OF PHOTOS

Among the submitted essays, the Committee will select 3 essays to be part of the exhibition, chosen from those that comply with the terms of this Notice. The selection will have a classificatory effect.

 

ABOUT THE EVALUATION CRITERIA

For the selection of photos to be included in the exhibition, the Judge(s) will evaluate the works based on the following criteria:

ABOUT THE RESULTS

The initial selection results (shortlist of 5 essays) will be announced on Mobgraphia's communication channels and/or the official website, www.mobgraphia.com.br, after April 15, 2025.  

 

The photographer whose essay is selected will be notified through Mobgraphia's channels (email and social media). The deadline for submitting the FINAL file (if requested) for printing will be 24 hours after the results are communicated. If the author does not read the notifications, does not respond to the festival's request, or fails to submit their essay within the deadline, they will NOT be part of the exhibition, and the next name on the shortlist will be selected to join the three finalists. 

 

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION OF SELECTED ESSAYS

The photos from the selected essays will be printed by Mobgraphia and displayed in a dedicated room during the Mobile Photo Festival 2025 at MIS (Museum of Image and Sound of São Paulo), which will take place from May 9 to June 20, 2025, with the awards ceremony held on May 9, 2025.  

This exhibition may also be presented on other dates, locations, and cities.  

 

Five essays will be featured on the shortlist (on Mobgraphia's social media) starting April 15, 2025, and during the awards ceremony, the 3 essays and the winning essay, which will be part of the exhibition, will be announced.

 

ABOUT PUBLICITY

The exhibition will be part of the official program of the MOBILE PHOTO FESTIVAL 2025.

The selected images may be used in the Festival's publicity and communication strategies (website, catalog, invitations, press releases, and social media) without incurring any costs to the organization.

Cases not covered in this Notice will be resolved by the Selection Committee, in conjunction with Mobgraphia's management.  

The selected photos, whether printed or digital files, will become part of the Mobgraphia Visual Culture collection.  

 

Mobgraphia reserves the right to modify the format of the exhibition in the event of unforeseen circumstances related to the exhibition space in question (MIS-SP).  

 

ATTENTION - WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED

The Mobile Photo Festival 2025 will not accept essays/narratives that do not comply with the regulations of MIS (Museum of Image and Sound of São Paulo) and will be subject to disqualification.  

 

The following are NOT permitted:
